ESSANCES OF CAMBODIA & LAOS IN 9 DAYS
Day 1: Arrive PhnomPenh
Arrive Phnompenh at noon. On arrival, visa formalities,
welcomed by your English speaking guide and then transfer to the hotel for
check in.
In the afternoon, if your arrival flight time allow, start
to visit the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and the Wat
Phnom Hill, founding place of the city.
Overnight in Phnom Penh
Breakfast at the hotel, visit the infamous Tuol Sleng Museum
of Genocide Crimes. Afterwards transfer from the hotel to the airport for
departure flight from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap.
Arrive in Siem Reap. Welcomed by your English speaking guide
and then transfer to the hotel for check in.
In the afternoon continue to Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, Chau
Say Tevoda, Thommanon, and the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, embraced by the roots
of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers.
Overnight in Siem Reap
Day 3: Siemreap (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
A morning tour of the temples takes you to the South Gate of
Angkor Thom, the famous Bayon, Baphoun, the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of
the Leper King.
In the afternoon, visit the magnificent 12th century Angkor
Wat. Return to hotel after watching the sun set over Angkor Wat. Overnight in
Siem Reap
Day 4: Siemreap (B)
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Temples: Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, Mebon and
Kravan temples. Afternoon, visit Banteay Srey temples. Night at the hotel.
Day 5: SiemReap - Vientiane (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Vientiane (REP –
VTE//09h15 – 11h45).
Arrive Vientiane, pick – up at the airport and transfer to
your hotel.

Afternoon, free time for your own experience the ordinary
life of the Laos people. Night in Vientiane.
Day 6: Vientiane – Luang Prabang (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, start to visit the capital of Laos. You’ll
seldom see the words “hustle” or “bustle” used to describe Vientiane which
could mount a strong case for being the most relaxed capital city on earth.
Vat Sisaket: the only temple left intact after the Siamese
invasion in 1828. One of the most beautiful temple of the capital with its
thousands of miniature Buddha statues.
Continue with Vat Phra Keo, used as a religious museum where
are displayed Lao and Khmer works of art and visit the Patuxai monument, also
called Anousavari from its roof enjoy a
panoramic sight over the city. Finish with the That Luang, the holiest place in
Laos and the Vat Simuang, the most popular and venerated temple in Vientiane.
Then stop at the Talat Sao, the morning market, to look for
some souvenirs (silk, silver jewelry, …)
In the end of afternoon, transfer to the airport for your
flight to Luang Prabang by QV 103 1830 – 1910.
On arrival in Luang Prabang, transfer to hotel. Overnight in
Luang Prabang.
Day 7: Luang Prabang (B)
After breakfast, your full day city tour city tour begins at
the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum. Continue to Wat Mai, a temple
renowned for its golden bas-reliefs. During Pimai, the lao new year, the
Prabang normally housed in the Royal Palace Museum is brought and put on public
display in this temple. Then the Wat Sene with its beautiful golden façade.
In the afternoon, Wat Visoun, entirely rebuilt after being
destroyed in 1887 by the invading Black Flags from southern China. In the
courtyard of Wat Visoun stands the Watermelon Stupa shaped like the fruit it
takes its name from. We will also visit Wat Aham where we can find the altar of
the 2 genius of Luang Prabang and then visit of Wat That where the ashes of
King Sisavang Vong are interred inside the large central stupa. Overnight at
the hotel.
Day 8: Luang Prabang – Ban Chan - Pak Ou (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy a morning visit to the beautiful Wat Xieng Thong, one
of the most important temples in Laos.
Then, continue to the pier to board your long-boat for a highly scenic 2
½ hour boat ride up the Mekong River.
Your first stop is at the Ban Chan, a pottery village where you can see
the making of clay pottery. Continue by
boat to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. In Pak Ou, thousands of gold lacquered
Buddha statues are crowded into the two caves carved out of a towering
limestone cliff. They range in size from a few centimeters to the size of a
human. Before returning to Luang Prabang stopping at Ban Xang hai, a village to
sample to local rice alcohol known as Lao Lao. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 9: Luang Prabang Depart (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the arport for your flight onward.
