BANGKOK – CHIANGMAI – PHUKET(10days/09nights)
Day 1: Bangkok Arrive (B)
Arrive at Bangkok in the morning, your private guide will
pick you up at the airport & transfer to your hotel in Bnagkok.
Afternoon, your visit at the Grand Palace which is the most
important and impressive royal palace in Thailand. Your guide will show you the
palaces used for different occasions – the Funeral Palace, the Reception
Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and of
course the mysterious Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in
Thailand. Appropriate dress is required (or can be rented on site). Continue to
visit Wat Po the home of Thai massage and the reclining Buddha and the golden
Buddha at Wat Traimitr. Overnight in Bangkok
Day 2: Bangkok – Ayutthaya - Bangkok (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Early morning departure from your hotel in Bangkok and drive
to Ayuthaya. Capital of Thailand from to 1776 when it was sacked by an invading
Burmese army, Ayuthaya. First stop at Bang Pa In to see the summer palace built
by Rama IV and the contrasting palace buildings and surrounding temples
inspired by European, Chinese and Thai designs. Also visit Wat Nived the gothic
inspired temple on the banks of the Chao Praya River. Continue to Ayuthaya for
lunch and visit the most important of
the ruined temples in Ayuthaya historical park: Wat Yai Chaimongkol, Wat Phra
Si Sanphet, Vihara Phra Mongkol Bopit and Wat Chai Watanaram before. In the
late afternoon return to Bangkok by car.
Overnight in Bangkok
Day 3: Bangkok - Chiangmai (B, L)
After breakfast, experience an exhilarating boat ride along
the bustling Chao Phraya River and the quiet Klongs (canals) in a long-tail
boat. Be taken back in time to a more traditional way of life, far removed from
Bangkok’s modern skyscrapers. Visit the Royal Barge Museum and see the
beautiful barges used by the King on state occasions. Enter the labyrinth of
Klongs and see how Thai people have lived next to the water for hundreds of
years. You will also see examples of Thai architecture as wealthy people have
built many beautiful houses alongside the klongs. Enter Klong Mon where the Mon
people, originally from Burma have settled. Make a stop at Wat Arun, the
magnificent temple of dawn, which was built during the 19th century on the site
of the Royal Chapel of King Taksin, which dates from the 17th century. Wat
Arun's unique feature is its 79-meter pagoda or 'prang', built in the Khmer
style. Take time to climb the narrow winding staircase for fine views over the
river.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiangmai. Pick –
up at Chiangmai airport & transfer to your hotel in Chiangmai. Overnight
there.
Day 4: Chiangmai (B, L)
Breakfast at your hotel.
After breakfast, explore ancient and modern Chiang Mai
including the city’s most important temples:
Wat Suan Dok, where the ashes of Chiang Mai’s royal family are interred,
Wat Phra Singh, home to an old and sacred Buddha image, and Wat Chedi Luang,
where the famous Emerald Buddha was once enshrined. Drive around the old city walls and gates and
see markets, residential areas, foreign Consulates, Government buildings and
Tapae, Chiang Mai’s main street. Stops
are made at Chiang Mai University grounds, Monument of Three Kings (who
established Chiang Mai as the Capital of Lanna Thai Kingdom), and Buak Haad
Public Park. Continue to the temple of Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most famous
landmark of Chiang Mai. Climb the Naga staircase to visit the exquisite golden
pagoda with 6 kg of pure gold at its peak, the remainder of which is plated
with gold shines high over the city. The sound of temple bells fills the air
and the view overlooking the city makes an irresistible photo opportunity.
Then continue to the handicraft workshop. Chiang Mai is
famous for the quality and uniqueness of its local handicrafts. Visit Sunkampaeng, with its Thai Silk and
cotton looms; Bo Sarng, the paper and umbrella-making village; the Celadon
kilns, with its exquisite traditional -fired stoneware; laquerware, teak-wood
carving, jewelry, and silverware factories.
This half day tour shows you how Chiang Mai craftsmen produce their
crafts by hand from the first stage to the finished product, and gives you an
idea of what there is to buy and take home as souvenirs from Chiang Mai.

Day 5: Elephant riding in Chiangmai (B, L)
Depart your hotel and drive north-west of Chiang Mai through
the picturesque Mae Sa valley to the Mae Sa Elephant Camp, set in a beautiful
wooded area. One of the highlights of
your visit is to watch the elephants taking their morning bath in the running
streams before starting their day’s training and work. With their trainers, the elephants will
demonstrate a number of skills for you, and you may feed them bananas or
sugarcane … their favorite treats. You
will then have an opportunity for a 50 minute elephant ride into the
surrounding woods, a real adventure and wonderful experience. Continue your tour to the beautiful Orchid Nursery
where more than 50 types of orchids bloom year-round. You will also visit a Butterfly Farm where
you will see numerous colorful and rare butterflies. Lunch at a local
restaurant. After lunch and a short rest proceed for a visit to Mae Sa
waterfall. (Please bring the swimming suits with you if you wanna enjoy the Mae
Sa Waterfalls) Overnight in Chiangmai.
Day 6: Picnic day (B, L)
After breakfast visit
Doi Inthanon national park, located south of Chiang Mai, the Doi Intanon
National Park is one of the most fertile natural treasures northern Thailand.
The invigorating mountain air, and fresh cool climate, makes the park a
rejuvenating break from the city. The park is home to Thailand’s highest peak -
Doi Intanon, rising 8514 feet above sea level.
The park is extremely popular among bird watchers, with more than 383
species being reported. On this tour we visit the summit where we see the
shrine of Chao Inthawitchayanon, the former prince of Chiang Mai, before
stopping at Wat Phrathad Chom Thong with its holy relic and ancient
treasures. A stop is made at
Wachiratharn Waterfall and the twin chedi, built by the Thai Airforce to honor
King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit. A short
trek along Michael’s Trail offers a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Lunch on this tour is served picnic style.
Overnight in Chiangmai.
Day 7: Chiangmai – Bangkok – Phuket (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Bangkok
& connect flight to Phuket.
Arrive at Phuket airport, taxi yourselves to hotel in
Phuket.
Free time in Phuket. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 8: Phuket (B)
Breakfast at your hotel.
Day at leisure for your own visit or just simple enjoy the
beautiful beach.
Overnight in Phuket.
Day 9: Phuket (B)
Breakfast at your hotel.
Day at leisure for your own visit or just simple enjoy the
beautiful beach.
Overnight in Phuket.
Day 10: Phuket – Bangkok (B)
Breakfast at your hotel.
Taxi yourselves to Phuket airport for your flight back to
Bangkok & connect your international flight depart.
